Privacy Policy
Last updated October 26, 2026
The privacy of visitors to IsTheMarketOpen.com is important to us. This page explains what information is collected when you visit the site and how it is used. We never sell your personal information.
Information we collect
Like most websites, our server keeps standard log files: your IP address, browser type, referring page, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. We use these logs to run and secure the site.
Settings stored on your device
If you turn on the market bell, we save that preference in your browser's local storage so it stays on next time. It never leaves your device.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are popular. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information like your approximate location, device and pages viewed. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
We show ads from Google AdSense to keep the site free. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalized ads in Google Ads Settings, and learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.
Market data
When you look up a ticker, the request goes to our server, which fetches a delayed quote from a third-party data provider. We do not store which tickers individual visitors look up, beyond aggregate analytics.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work without them. Deleting cookies does not permanently opt you out of advertising programs.
